Some of the highlights from an incredible few days Some of the highlights from an incredible few days in Madrid hosting the Aduna Global Summit. 🎤

Huge thanks to Clare Messenger, Lily Cheng, Lisa S. for bringing together and organising such a fantastic event & for making me feel so welcome throughout. I love being a part of your team!

It was a real pleasure working with Anthony Bartolo and Peter Arbitter too, who are leading such an important conversation around APIs and the future of the industry right now.

The programme across the two-day summit was packed with insights, conversations and demos and there was a lot of positive feedback from attendees and such a sense of excitement in the room.

I enjoyed interviewing speakers, hearing different perspectives from across the industry, and meeting so many people during the summit and drinks event. It was great to reconnect with familiar faces Matthew Salisbury from Honey Badger HQ who delivered such a great demo and also hear from Henry Howe from JT Group Limited.

It is a pivotal moment for the sector and it was a privilege to be part of it.

I always enjoy hosting events, panel conversations and interviews like these, especially when there’s so much energy and momentum in the room.

And if you missed this one, the next Aduna Summit is coming up in a few months’ time. Definitely one to watch.

Having the opportunity to work alongside the news team at @gbc_tv was brilliant. I loved delivering training and coaching for several of their talented and dedicated journalists and presenters. 🎬

Being in a live studio environment and in the production gallery feels like home, after 15 years working at ITV News. There’s something very special about being in that space and supporting people to build their confidence and presence on screen.

It was also a privilege to be interviewed @gbc_radiogibraltar on by @kellyanneborge - Thank you! We had a great conversation about navigating nerves, presenting with confidence, and the work I’m doing in the region - as well as the upcoming Boost workshops supported by some of the @gbcnewsroom team:

• Presentation skills for business leaders and entrepreneurs
 • Media and interview skills for those representing their organisations
 • Building confidence, clarity and impact in the boardroom, on stage and in front of the camera

Gibraltar has a fantastic energy, and I always love being there and I’m really looking forward to what’s to come.

Thank you GBC News for such a warm welcome. 🇬🇮

This was, hands down, the best Jersey Farming Conf This was, hands down, the best Jersey Farming Conference yet!

I have hosted this event for the past 7 years and the atmosphere was something special. @lamareestate was packed, and you could feel the positivity and pride in the room.

It has been exciting to see first-hand the renewed sense of confidence in the Farming industry. The Agricultural Loan Scheme and new grants that were announced at the conference last year have made a real difference, helping farmers invest, grow and look to the future.

One of the most special moments was a standing ovation for John Vautier, who announced he’ll be leaving Government. His passion, dedication and commitment, working alongside Kirsten Morel and Deputy Steve Luce, has made a huge impact on the farming industry and its future in Jersey.

As always, I started the day with a look back at some of the highlights from the past year, from @jersey_dairy Fuelled by Milk, to the Cultivate projects that are inspiring the next generation, to Re-gen bringing people and ideas together, and more than 600 schoolchildren discovering farming “From Grass to Glass”.

It was also brilliant to see £20,000 awarded through the Food Systems Prize to innovators making a real difference in food and farming.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined in person and online, and especially to John Garton at @farm_jersey for organising such a brilliant event, supported by the Government of Jersey and sponsors @jerseywaterofficial , Evelyn Partners and Normans Jersey. Thank you to the brilliant team at @delta_events_ci, who I love working with. Thanks to Sara Felton for your support and these photos.

Such a positive day and a reminder of the creativity, resilience and collaboration that make Jersey’s farming community so special. 🌱

🎓 UCJ Graduation 2025 What a day. It was such a 🎓 UCJ Graduation 2025

What a day.

It was such an honour to host this year’s University College Jersey Graduation once again.

I started the day by sharing a story from a recent visit to the @jasonbutler1970 exhibition ‘Travellers’. Jason’s an exceptional artist and former Highlands lecturer, and one of his paintings - a figure surrounded by the most vibrant, colourful butterflies - really spoke to me.

Each butterfly unique, with its own story. 🦋

The energy and diversity stood out, and I thought about how each butterfly goes through its own transformation - that long journey leading to the cocoon stage before the wings appear and they break out of that cocoon and fly.

Anyone who’s studied, worked, or chased a goal or a dream knows what that feels like: the late nights, the graft, the doubts and tough times. But, it is in those moments that growth happens and bonds are formed with those who stand with us and support us.

As I was researching butterflies, I read that they can’t see their own wings. They don’t know how extraordinary they are, but everyone else can see it.

That’s true for so many of us at times.

In moments of self-doubt, we need to trust what others see in us, believe in ourselves, and say yes to what’s next.

This year’s event brought together people from across government, industry, and higher education. And, as UCJ’s Laura Simpson said so perfectly:

“When a community invests in education, it doesn’t just change futures — it changes the island.”

A huge thank you to Principal JoanneTerry-Marchant, all of the Senior Leadership Team, the @highlandscollegejersey College, Jersey events team - Celina Crenan, Alex S. & Jessica Tidswell and everyone who helped make the day so special including those who gave such inspiring speeches from the stage.

This short case study video shares the journey the @studiosutton team of architects have been on with us at @boostpresents

@sutton_aj is a brilliant thought leader, and together with Joe Gibbs and Emilio Sullivan, the team are sharing new & disruptive ideas, creating standout video content and showing up with real confidence. Alex has also been recognised as a Rising Star ⭐️

It’s collaboration that makes this powerful. A huge part of these success stories comes from working alongside Performance Coach Jo Ferbrache @realselfdiscovery, who supports many of our clients early on in the process, helping them overcome limiting beliefs and build confidence before they move into presentation coaching with our team, @hannahshellswell & @jameshuntchannelislands. 🎤💥

The limbo before you walk on can be the tough bit with nerves…
“There are two types of speakers: those who are ne “There are two types of speakers: those who are nervous, and those who are liars.”

I love this from Mark Twain.

No matter how many times you have delivered a presentation or pitch, in my experience, nerves never disappear completely in the build up and as you step up in front of an audience.

I certainly find that the physical responses, such as the heart racing or the shaky hands, tend to show up during those first couple of minutes.

And that’s okay. They are a sign that you care.

The key is not to try eliminate nerves, but to work with them. Preparing your presentation is important. But preparing yourself is just as critical so the nerves don’t take over or sabotage your delivery.

One of the simplest and most powerful tools I have found is breathing. Sounds obvious, but breathing doesn’t just keep us alive… it helps us feel calmer.

Before stepping onto a stage in front of an audience, especially at big events or when I am outside my comfort zone, I take a pause, a few slow breaths, and let my heart rate slow down. It’s just one of my rituals that ground me.

I’ve also benefited personally from working with my colleague and partner, Jo Ferbrache at @realselfdiscovery . As part of our training and coaching offering at Boost, Jo supports many individuals and teams with a variety of Emotional Intelligence tools and techniques, as well as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and 9D breathwork, to help them regulate, overcome limiting beliefs, and step onto the stage with greater confidence.

So next time you are about to present, whether it is to five people or five hundred, remember: Take a moment to take a breath.

It’s a small thing that makes a big difference.
This is my 11-year-old son Hudson. On a stage in This is my 11-year-old son Hudson.

On a stage in Ibiza last week. He was picked out from the crowd and invited to dance on the stage at a family friendly event at @lasdaliasibiza

His first reaction was to check around him, to his left and to his right, and qualify “you mean me?!” “Yes”, said the dancer, so up went Hudson to lead the crowd!

His confidence soared.

I sent this video to a friend, and she couldn’t believe it was him. She said, how he often comes across as quite shy. It’s true, that he has often said no to opportunities and told me how he regretted it later. And that’s at the age of 11.

How many of us are doing the same, in our 30’s, 40’s and 50’s? We are not stepping into what is for us because of fear of judgement, or failure. I have done this, disqualifying myself many times and subsequently missing out.

Stepping on to the stage and saying ‘yes’ gave Hudson a huge boost. He is now talking about being on the stage again and making sure he puts himself forward for a bigger part in the school play.

I am working with people all the time who are terrified to step on to their stage. Are you? What’s holding you back from shining?

The problem with things playing safe, is that it rarely builds confidence and it holds us back.

What seemed scary for my son turned out to be the boost he needed.

⭐️ Growth doesn’t come from avoiding risk.
⭐️ Confidence comes from stepping onto your stage.

With his permission, I wanted to share this post to encourage you to say ‘YES’ to what you are being invited to step into, and step out of your comfort zone.

If my 11-year-old can do it, we can too.

I’ve just launched my new event hosting website and with it, a new showreel for 2025, full of moments I’m really proud to have been a part of.

🎬 What makes this work so special is the people I get to meet, the stories I help tell, and the brilliant, hard-working teams behind the scenes I have the opportunity to work alongside. They make the events what they are.

🎤 From reporting on the ground at global events, to hosting panels and facilitating conversations that matter, happens because of the dedicated and talented teams behind the scenes. I’ve learned so much from the crews, producers, directors, tech teams, event managers and contributors that I am lucky enough to work alongside. They are also the wingmen and wingwomen who help me to feel confident, because I know they have my back.

If you’re planning an event and need a host, facilitator or reporter, UK-based or further afield, I’d love to hear from you.

I really appreciate all the kind testimonials and thank you for the use of the superb footage @ise_show

What do people think, feel and say about you when What do people think, feel and say about you when you’re not in the room?

That was one of the questions we explored in today’s workshop with the brilliant team at @evelynpartners delivered in collaboration with @realselfdiscovery

It’s not just a thought-provoking question, it’s a reminder to be intentional.

How do you want to show up? What kind of impact do you want to leave behind? Are you shaping that on purpose, or just hoping for the best?

We deliver three powerful areas of personal development:

Workshop 1 – Physical Intelligence:
How we use the body to support how we feel and perform, especially under pressure. Practical tools for managing nerves, stressing less, staying grounded, and using posture and breath to show up with more confidence.

Workshop 2 – Personal Brand:
Understanding our personal brand - not just what we do in our roles, but the impact we have, and how we communicate that to others. It’s about being clear on how we come across and what we want to be known for.

Workshop 3 – Presentation & Communication Skills:
Speaking clearly and with confidence, whether that’s in a team meeting, pitching an idea, or speaking on stage. We cover how to shape your message, hold attention, and communicate with real purpose.

These workshops give people the space to pause, reflect, and build the kind of skills that often get squeezed out of busy working life. They boost confidence, help people express themselves more clearly, and bring more ease and intention into how they show up at work.

And this is where the real work begins.

After the group sessions, we follow up with 1:1 coaching, supporting people to put what they’ve learned into practice, work through what might be holding them back, and build habits that actually stick.

It’s honest, human, and tailored to the individual.

We loved being part of this journey today and supporting people as they find more confidence in their voice, their presence, and their way of working.

Huge thanks to Matt Falla, Rosemary Satchwell and the team at Evelyn Partners International and to The Lido Cafe for looking after us so well.

We LOVE working with @gilliankellytv who always delivers the best advice, and the most entertaining stories, from two decades working in National News.

Today @hannahshellswell and Gillian delivered our @boostpresents ‘Presenting on Camera Skills & Media Messaging’ Workshop to a group we worked with for the first time a year ago. Seeing them grow so much in confidence and smash it on camera and tacking challenging questions was just brilliant.

This is why we love what we do. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
